July 15th finds:
Paper money…and pennies.
Today, I visited 2 banks. The first bank gave me a paper $20 and $5. Neither one of these notes are collectable but I took them anyway to keep the door open with the teller. I also managed to rescue some MacDonald $10s which are subject to an active cull. I will spend these notes to prolong their lives s bit.

The second bank gave me 59 rolls of pennies. I decided to get some rolled coins as well and I managed to get quarters and dimes.
There was a bunch of quarters that were machine rolled, but I was surprised to pull some US quarters out of these rolls.
Overall, the quarters were unremarkable; I even got ripped off by receiving a laundry token and a coin from the United Arab Emitates. ☹️
I did not fare much better with the dimes, other than $3.00 in US coins a UK 5 pence coin an Australian coin and a coin from the Cayman Islands, there was no silver to be found.
The reality of coin hunting is that you rarely find silver. I’ve just been extremely lucky in 2025.
Enjoy!
