November 27th finds:
A great day at the bank!
I went to two banks on my way home today.
The first bank gave me 2 rolls plus 50 loose pennies.
The second bank gave me some paper money, including a journey $20 EUE replacement note!
While I was there, I also asked for some coins. The teller gave me 17 rolls of pennies and I decided to buy $100 in dime rolls.
Well, I was not expecting much to come out of the dimes, other than the usual share of US coins. What I got was absolutely amazing…
Not one, but
two silver dimes, one dated 1958 and the other dated 1914!I poured out the roll and immediately saw something different; I took a photo before I removed the coin. I thought it was a Swiss 1\2 Franc—I have found plenty of those over the years. But soon, I realized what was actually sitting in front of me.

This is the second oldest Canadian coin I have ever found in the wild, the other being a 1910 dime I found a while ago.
Enjoy!
